Lung Cancer Vaccine in Cuban

Pradera International Rehabilitation Center, Havana, Cuba

Cuba currently has two registered therapeutic vaccines for advanced lung cancer:Cimavax EGF and Racotumomab

The clinical effect is mainly reflected in prolonging the patient's life span and improving the quality of life. The safety of the vaccine is also beyond doubt. Both therapeutic vaccines have shown evidence of being effective for advanced non-small cell stage III and IV lung cancer after first-line chemotherapy. Cimavax-EGF vaccine and Racotumomab vaccine have the same effect on patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer.

Treatment principle:

The vaccine itself cannot prevent or cure lung cancer, but it prompts the patient's body to produce antibodies to EGF (epidermal growth factor), which is key to the proliferation of lung cancer cells. Using CimaVax lung cancer vaccine in conjunction with other treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy can more effectively shrink and control tumors.

Treatment Effect:

•Prolong the life of patients with advanced lung cancer (depending on each patient's own conditions, the extension ranges from a few months to a few years)

•Change the treatment concept of lung cancer and control cancer as a chronic inflammation

•Improve the quality of life of lung cancer patients
